Freebie Blog Spin-Off

Heyya so apart from watching films, eating free food is one of my hobbies.

Its like a hunt - you have to keep your eyes out for the trays of little squares of bread or mini paper cups of tester tea. To be the most effective freebie taker you have to be confidant, quick and subtle.

Here is my guide to the best freebie finds in London

1. Whole Foods shop (High Street Kensington)
- this shop acts as a giant market, each food group with its own section and each one competing to lure you in. On entering, to the right there will be the bread section and they have baskets of freebies camoflaged amongsts the products, and too the left there is the sweet section - they don't often give testers but when they do they are delishh! They are often found on the top counter. The cheese section often has orange bowls of cheesy goodness which are so nice and you may get lucky on the lower floor with bread sticks and olive oil, and fruit.

Best Freebies - Nachos with guacamole, Dark chocolate orange tiffin, strawberries and melon, edamame beans, panetone, banana and chocolate crèpe, foccacia, rye bread, spicy tabasco

2. Borough, Southbank (real food), Greenwhich and Herne Hill ect... Markets
- there is a larger guilt because the vendors are normally indepenant therefore have freebies to promote sails, rather than use up all their produce. Southbank and Greenwich are more meals and Borough and Herne Hill ect are

Best Freebies -  I've tasted some good paté and olives and mozarella, hot chocolate, granola seeds, olive oils, sausages, churos, and lots more: so much good stuff!

3. Yoghurts
Yoomoo (High Street Ken) and Snog (covent garden) give out the little white cups and you can pick the flavour! In summer look out for the man/woman in a pink teeshirt standing outside Snog.

4. Individual Shops - Crabtree and evelynn (in Canary Wharf) did whole biscuits served on plates and toffee still in wrappers. It was beautiful. Holland & Barratt's usually do something enticing like candied ginger or dried pineapple near the entrance to their shop.
Whittard's (covent garden) serve little plastic glasses with warming tea pots around every corner - they invite you to try all their teas and are willing to keep on refilling. East India Company (not from POTC) who do biscuits, chocolate and tea have also a great supply of little trays of freebies dotted around their stores in covent garden and old bond street.

The big department stores like Harrods and Fortnum & Mason seem to have so much money there is absolutely no guilt when taking some of their produce (Harrods only gave beetroot flavoured macaroons though) strange but nice.

5. Christmas deals
Wear a christmas jumper in Chipotle wimbledon and you got a free whole burrito! Great advertising or what! In Costa they do something... can't remember but its to do with an xmas jumper
What a season for giving

6. Mini Cans
Near tube stations or busy city shopping centres very well known brands like coke, fanta, 7-up feel they have to remind you about their product by giving out freezing cold mini cans of the drink 150ml! its great because they are extremely thirst quenching - I guess it does make you want to buy that 500ml more.

7. Covent garden and large stations like Waterloo or Victoria- new brands use testers for promotion so they bring the packs of yoghurt or ambrosia rice pudding in van loads and set up their incongruous crates to deal out
